Staff Picks: Bible Studies We’re Loving This Summer
Summer is here, and whether you’re gathered around a patio table, away at a lake house, or enjoying quiet mornings on the back porch with God, we have a Bible study for you. We asked our team to share the studies they’re loving right now. Check out these staff picks for meaningful and engaging Bible studies that are perfect for you or your group this summer!

Unoffendable by Brant Hansen
If you’re looking for a summer Bible study that’s fun, relatable, and will actually change the way you live, Unoffendable by Brant Hansen is it. This study is full of great teaching moments with Brant, fun group activities (yes, there’s a scavenger hunt!), and powerful biblical insight. It’s not overly “church-y,” so it’s the perfect pick for casual summer gatherings with friends, whether or not they’re regular churchgoers.

30 Days with Jesus by Lysa TerKeurst and Dr. Joel Muddamalle
Don’t be fooled by the simple title. I have been a Christian for many decades and I was surprised and delighted by the new concepts I discovered in this study. Lysa and Joel make connections between the Old and New Testaments that I had never noticed before. Not only is the study insightful, it is beautifully designed which makes the experience even better. Grab a copy for June, July, or August.

Taste and See by Margaret Feinberg
I love how this study brings Scripture to life through the lens of food and hospitality. Margaret’s teaching is inviting and makes you want to slow down and savor both God’s Word and good conversation. The updated edition includes streaming video, which makes it super easy to do with friends over the summer, whether around a table or out on the patio.

Wine in the Word by Gisela Kreglinger and Randy Frazee
Wine in the Word is a six-session video Bible study with a fascinating look at why wine plays such a prominent role in the Bible. You will be struck by not only the different ways that wine and wine-related themes are mentioned in the Bible, but why wine meant so much during the time of Jesus and beyond. Authors Gisela Kreglinger and Randy Frazee will take you on a wonderful journey through the Bible, through history, and through many questions of how we can still enjoy wine today. Cheers!

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter and Geri Scazzero
Summer provides an opportunity to invest intentionally in your relationship with God. I recommend Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and our discipleship course by Peter and Geri Scazzero.

Matthew: Pray Like This by Barb Roose
I love this study for summer! It’s super easy to throw in your purse or backpack, and it’s all about prayer, which is something I always need help staying focused on. Plus, it’s only 6 weeks… so good and so doable!
