Professor Scot McKnight helps us discover that the author of Hebrews wrote this book just as a very serious issue was disturbing the churches under his care. Faithfulness was the challenge. Could these believers live a long faithfulness? Not a faithfulness in spurts one year and then nothing the next. Not a faithfulness that was electrified by a big action but lacked daily allegiance.
