Who is Faith Eury Cho?

Faith has been a gospel preacher since she was 19-years-old. Currently, she is an international speaker, pastor, church planter, author, and CEO of a nonprofit. The mission of her life is for all to know and enjoy the gift of the gospel, which is the Presence of God. She holds a Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Global Studies from Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University. She has been ministering in the church for 19 years.
Faith is the CEO and founder of The Honor Summit, a nonprofit organization that equips and activates Asian American women for the mission of God. Alongside her husband, Pastor David Cho, she is also the co-founder and co-pastor of Mosaic Covenant Church of NJ.
Faith is also a coach and collaborator for Propel, for which she has also been a contributing writer. Faith has spoken on mission fields, churches, conferences, and stages such as Thinq Media and Exponential. She regularly appears on TBN’s Better Together. Ready to get to know Faith Eury Cho a little better? We asked her a few fun and thoughtful questions about herself, her journey studying Joshua, and her hopes for readers as they go through this study.

How would your friends describe you in a few words?
It would depend on what sort of friends they are and how we’re connected! However, those that are close to me would generally say:
- Loyal, sticks with her people
- A builder, loves to get things going
- A bit scattered, all over the place, but will always find herself back!
Who has been a spiritual mentor or influence in your life, and how has their guidance shaped your approach to studying and teaching Scripture?
Christine Caine has always reminded me to keep it all about Jesus and not to get distracted by the secondary things. It’s the core of every message, no matter what we are studying or teaching. It’s a simple piece of advice, but it has deeply shaped a lot of how I approach Scripture and ministry overall.
What drew you to the book of Joshua, and why do you think its message is so timely for today?
Faith looks foolish in times of fear. It doesn’t take much to find reasons to be anxious and afraid today. Yet, when we engage with the world without faith, we can hold fast to fear as if it is wisdom.
We can look at our own “Jordan River” and find ways to justify our stagnancy. We can walk away from our “walls of Jericho” because we don’t have a conviction of God’s goodness. And yet, followers of Christ are called to be strong and courageous in a way that mystifies the world.
The book of Joshua captures the highs and lows of how wilderness wanderers had to learn how to be God’s valiant people. It’s a manual for the foolish faith we need to be strong and courageous today.
Can you share an “a-ha” moment you had while researching or writing Joshua: Be Strong and Courageous? Did anything surprise you or deepen your understanding of God?
My favorite lesson to research for was Lesson 4: Remain Courageous After Failure. It reminded me again and again that our ability to be courageous doesn’t come from our righteousness or fortitude. It comes from intimately, authentically, and passionately knowing a gracious God. The way God handled the failure at Ai and the mistake with the Gibeonites is nothing short of grace. He doesn’t love and give because we earned His promises. He gives because He’s a good Giver.
If you could sit down with Joshua himself, what’s one question you’d love to ask him?
What was it like staying in the tent of meeting?
When you need a pick-me-up, what’s your favorite go-to indulgence?
I adore a good cappuccino.
What’s a fun fact or a hidden talent most people don’t know about you?
I do my own nails, and I always get asked where I get them done. I have a whole setup at home, and it’s just a calming hobby I have. It also saves loads of money!
How do you hope this study will impact women as they step into their own “promised lands” or face their own wilderness seasons?
I hope this study gives them practical tools to exercise great faith. This study is to instill the holy conviction to remain strong and courageous in the face of insurmountable battles. However, it’s not just for inspiration alone. I hope that every woman comes away from this study feeling equipped with ways to apply their growing faith.
